Why is there a warning at the start of the HR Docs in relation to legal sign off

The  HR docs are produced in conjunction with a leading HR lawyer. The reason it does come up with a warning in relation to legal sign off compared to the other LightYear Docs documents is purely due to the fact that we provide all the HR policies and employment contracts in word form. All of our other documents are in PDF where you don't have the ability to make changes.

The reason why we provide the HR Docs in word is to allow you to add any additional customised clauses to the employment contracts that relates specifically to your business and to the job description or specifically to your policies.

The template has effectively been legally signed off, but given that it's given in word, we lose control in relation to any change so we cannot provide full legal sign off on the templates. Also, a lot of the HR documents are internal policy documents and not legal documents.
