Is the foreign Principal Place of Business acceptable for company documents? Or do you have to put in an Australian address?

The principal place of business address can be foreign, but ASIC systems will not accept a foreign address.  You need to register the company with an Australian address, then lodge a form 492 to notify them of the correct address.
