In setting up a Leading Member SMSF, is it better to make the husband the Sole Director and Shareholder, and the spouse the Second Leading Member?
Any way is fine (whether the husband or wife as the the Leading Member), and having the other as the Second Leading Member.
Question: Is it also intended for both of them to rollover their industry fund balances into the new SMSF?
Answer: Yes it would be intended for both to rollover their industry fund balances into the new SMSF to maximise their SMSF balances.
