How to Execute and Witness a Will in Victoria
In Victoria, Wills and Enduring Power of Attorney (EPOA) must be signed in person and witnessed by two witnesses. Witnessing can be done via audio-visual link, i.e. Zoom, as long as it fulfils the Victorian legal requirements.
If you are providing the will for a client out of your firm's state, it is best to either post (via 'Order a Hard Copy' function) or fax the Will once finalised to the client and organise a signing event with the relevant parties.
Please be advised this is general information only, and is not to be taken as legal advice. If you would like more information, or have a legal query, please contact Abbott & Mourly directly.
