      What is the Process for Changing from Individual SMSF Trustees to a Corporate Trustee?

      You can facilitate all of this on the LightYear Docs portal as follows, which includes an upgrade to the latest LightYear Docs SMSF governing rules:

      1. Set up Special Purpose Corporate Trustee:  SMSF Special Purpose Company Document: You can find this document when logging into your account and clicking on the Document Wizard in Templates / Company Establishments / SMSF Companies or simply search: 'SMSF Special Purpose Company'
      2. Upgrade the SMSF with the old Trustees:  SMSF Deed of Variation Document: You can find this document when logging into your account and clicking on the Document Wizard in Templates / SMSF Establish, Maintain & Upgrade/ Standard SMSF or simply search: 'SMSF Deed of Variation'
      3. Complete a change of Trustees: Change of Trustee for SMSFs Document: You can find this document when logging into your account and clicking on the Document Wizard in Templates / SMSF Establish, Maintain & Upgrade / Standard SMSF or simply search: 'CHange of Trustee for SMSFs'

      This comes with relevant ATO forms notifying the change of trustees, plus minutes, three deeds and new governing rules.  I am sure your auditor will be impressed.
