ASIC Consent Forms

ASIC requires company directors to give consent before registering a company, becoming directors, becoming shareholders, and registering a company office address.

ASIC requires company directors to give consent before registering a company, becoming directors, becoming shareholders, and registering a company office address. It is essential that consent is given by parties before a company is registered with ASIC via LightYear Docs. Please see the attached consent form below. It is important to be aware of the requirements surrounding consent.

From the ASIC guidelines:

  • You must provide your signed consent in writing before being appointed as a director and the company must keep this written consent and update ASIC whenever there are key changes to the company, including the appointment of a new director
  • You must have given your written consent to be a member before the application for registration is made. The names and addresses of all persons who have consented to be members form part of the application for registration as an Australian company
