I always knew it would come one day but this was so sneaky and have been planning for it since 2015. But this was extra sneaky by the Greens and Labor. Importantly the Greens do not have a super policy and if you look at their platform high on their wish list is wealth taxes. In a backroom move (the industry super funds will be popping the champagne corks), the Green have kicked out SMSFs and borrowing.
In this Emergency Webinar we look at the changes to SMSF borrowing at the fund level but explore the many options available for investing in property, cryptocurrency and shares with borrowing still available. Plus we will look at why SMSFs are still the best super fund structure in Australia and a great asset protection and tax minimisation vehicle.
